14 January to 18 February

The 1937 classic, by Nobel Prize-winner John Steinbeck, tells the tale of loneliness during the Great Depression. George and Lennie are two drifters, struggling to survive in the farmlands of 1930s California. Lenny, simple-minded but incredibly strong, encounters the foreman’s flirtatious wife, and the pair’s dreams of finding a place of their own are dashed.

Exploring themes of friendship, power, and the responsibility we have to look out for one another in a sometimes unkind world, Of Mice and Men is a shattering work of art.
