Brisbane Arts Theatre produces high-quality, accessible theatre for all ages while also operating as a training organisation that supports and educates emerging artists from age 8 and up. As a not-for-profit company powered by its dedicated community and members, everything we do is driven by a commitment to creativity, growth, and a love of theatre.

Membership is a great opportunity to support Brisbane Arts Theatre as a not-for-profit organisation, and be a closer part of the community we hold.
Members have been the backbone of our theatre company since it was founded in 1936, and by joining us, you too can become part of our fun, creative and innovative culture at one of Brisbane’s most iconic theatre companies.
With Membership, comes some great rewards. You’ll be given the opportunity to have a say in our company’s direction at the Annual General Meeting, with voting rights – however this is not compulsory. You will also get a discount on ticket prices.
We are always in need of as many volunteers as possible! Volunteering at Brisbane Arts Theatre is on a show-by-show basis, and it’s up to you how many shows you can commit to in a year.

- Costumes
- Front of House
- Technical Operators
- Sound and lighting designers
- Directors
- Stage Managers and assistant stage managers
- Production Managers
In 2026 we will have auditions for a variety of productions, especially for our Children’s Theatre Program.
Audition requirements are show specific and packs will be available for each production.
