Group and School Bookings

As a registered training organisation, we value education within the arts sector as an imperative factor to the success of our youth. We pride ourselves on not only our accredited and non-accredited training options, but on the content and educational values of our in-house productions.

As kids pass through the gates at Brisbane Arts Theatre, they are transported to a world of enchantment and wonder. Our children’s theatre division is a Brisbane institution, renowned for its strong artistic values and innovative technical production. Our autograph sessions after each show are eagerly anticipated by children and adults alike. Join the hundreds of thousands of children who have been captivated by classic fairytales and iconic children’s stories within our mesmerising venue.

Our children’s theatre productions run weekends and school holidays. Tickets for large group bookings start from $17 per child, with one complimentary supervisor’s ticket per 10 children. Get in touch to discuss your outside school hours care booking.

FAQs

What do I need to tell my students?

It’s important for students to understand that our intimate space enables our actors to see and hear every tiny noise and action within the audience. Thus, unless the action calls for a response (e.g. laughter, applause), students should respect the cast and their fellow audience members. All audience members must turn their phones completely off—not just to silent. Photography and recording of all kinds is prohibited under federal legislation (Copyright Act 1968).

Can students take notes?

Students should not take notes during the performance, as this is distracting for our performers and other audience members. Besides, they could miss something pivotal to the plot. Students can take notes at interval and after the show.

What is the age appropriateness of each show?

If in doubt, contact the box office for advice on (07) 3369 2344.
