The perfect place for all beginners, budding actors or anyone looking to freshen up their skills! The Level One – Introduction to the Stage Workshop covers the foundations of the stage and provides a space for those seeking the core elements and techniques behind stagecraft. We always recommend starting here and working your way up for the best results!
Students focus on the acting process, participating in performance techniques and enabling them to explore the initial stepping stones of the theatrical journey. This includes, but is not limited to, improvisation, basic script work, warm ups, scene work and individual presentation. The course will also explore body language, group dynamics and a general orientation to the fundamentals of stagecraft.
Auditions will be encouraged to all class participants for any applicable productions within the Brisbane Arts Theatre season.
Our Introduction to the Stage students come from all walks of life – no prior experience is required.
