Volunteer

We are always in need of as many volunteers as possible! Volunteering at Brisbane Arts Theatre is on a show-by-show basis, and it’s up to you how many shows you can commit to in a year. Each show can have up to 20 volunteer production team members. Volunteer positions are primarily available in our Children’s Theatre productions, with some opportunities within our Mainhouse productions.

We are seeking the following volunteers:

Technical Operators

Technicians and stage assistants are essential for every production. They need to be switched on and savvy. No prior experience is necessary to volunteer in a technical capacity on our Children’s Theatre productions.

Lighting, Sound and Vision Design

Lighting designers, sound designers and vision designers have an important role to create components that set the mood and theme of a production.

Stage Management

Our Children’s Theatre stage managers head up their production team and run the show.

Wardrobe

Our costume department services not only our shows, but also external clients. It’s a busy department that offers superb volunteer opportunities. You must be able to sew.

Front of House (FOH)

Front of house ensures a positive theatre experience for all of our patrons. All FOH volunteers must be in possession of a current QLD RSA certificate.

Apply Now

Note that you do not require any experience; simply select the departments that excite your imagination!
