Taking you deep into the hearts and minds of one family, Next to Normal is a profoundly moving piece of theatre, featuring an energetic, rock-infused score.

Dad's an architect; mum rushes to pack lunch and pour cereal; their daughter and son are bright, wise-cracking teens. They appear to be a typical modern family, and yet their lives are anything but normal in this tale of one suburban household dealing with crises and mental illness.

Winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, Next to Normal is an emotional ride addressing grief, trauma, ethics in modern psychiatry, and ultimately, the meaning of family in the 21st century.
