Project: Embracing Our History
'Embracing Our History' is an internal project that is managed by volunteers within Brisbane Arts Theatre. Its objective is to inform and inspire both patrons and volunteers by enabling them access to our archives in an accessible format, highlighting the theatre company’s people and achievements of the past. The project is overseen by Ruby Tuesday, with the assistance of Bill Weir and Jennifer Webber.
The project has a number of components:
- Physical archives exhibitions - Multiple displays throughout the venue, exhibiting material from the company's extensive archives.
- Digital timeline.
- 'Our People' digital content.
- Production history - a complete digital list of all productions since 1936, including digitised programmes from each production.
Can you help?
Should you be in possession of any relevant pieces of material from the Arts Theatre's past, we would love to hear from you. We'd also like to hear from you if you have a specific request for material that you would like digitised or added to any of the above components of the project. Please get in touch with us.
