In this musical by Eric Stedman, Rapunzel, kidnapped as a child by the wicked witch Gothel, is freed from her tower prison by handsome Prince Gunther who promises to show her the world. Their plans change when the Witch finds out about them and Rapunzel is banished to the Land of Eternal Winter and the Prince blinded. Gunther, his page Rolf, and Rapunzel’s friend Pandora the white cat must brave the dangers of the Forest of No Return and find the Prince’s lost love.
AUDITION DETAILS
Auditions will be held on Sunday July 13 in one-hour long slots from 1PM to 6PM.
Location: The Lavalla Centre, 58 Fernberg Road, Paddington
There are opportunities for people of all genders, abilities, backgrounds and ethnicities.
Each audition will be in a Workshop format in groups with up to 10 people per slot.
Strong singing voices and being able to sing in harmony required for most roles.
AUDITION REQUIREMENTS – ALL AGES
As part of the workshop audition, there will be a chance to read from extracts of the script. These will be available on the day.
Please prepare 2 minutes of a modern musical theatre song that showcases your range. Digital backing tracks please – YouTube is fine!
Please prepare a comedy monologue of no more than 2 mins in length.
You may also be asked to participate in a short dance routine on the day – please wear comfortable clothing to move in and closed in shoes.

Rehearsals will be at the Lavalla Centre (58 Fernberg Road, Paddington) on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thurdays.
Tech Rehearsals and Performances will be at Arcana 46 Evesham St, Moorooka QLD 4105 from Sunday 21 September until Saturday 4 October.
Performances and Tech rehearsals will be during the days.
All successful auditionees will be expected to be Financial Members of Brisbane Arts Theatre. Membership costs $40.
All successful 18+ auditionees will be required to have a current Blue Card or willing to get one. We are a registered Not For Profit so this is a free process.
