Can we re-open?
We sure can! We’re operating under the Stage Queensland COVID Safe Industry plan, and ensuring our compliance. We’re regularly updating our Workplace Healthy and Safety Plan and monitoring the situation to ensure the health and safety of our patrons, volunteers and staff. If you’d like to read up on Stage Queensland’s COVID Safe Plan for Queensland’s Liver Performance Venues/Theatres, you can find it here. For any questions or queries regarding COVID-19, please send an email to our Risk Mitigation Coordinator (firstname.lastname@example.org).
What has changed?
To put it simply? A lot. When you visit our venue, you’ll notice that we have hand sanitiser stations available at entry and exit points, and that we’ll ask to take your name, phone number and temperature upon entry. This information will be kept on file for a minimum of 56 days, and may be passed on to public health officers upon request.
When booking your tickets, you won’t be redirected to a seat map, as has been the way in the past. All tickets will be sold as General Admission, so that we can ensure correct social distancing among social groups. If you would like to ensure that you’re sitting with your friends or family, we recommend booking your tickets in the same transaction, otherwise you will be seated separately.
What can you do to ensure a smooth and easy visit?
- Arrive no earlier than 30 minutes before the show begins, and do not linger in the courtyard or outside the venue.
- Keep an eye on your young theatre lovers and ensure you do not allow them to run around unsupervised.
- Please do not attend if you have been feeling under the weather, experienced flu-like symptoms or have travelled overseas in the last two weeks. Our staff will be taking temperatures and offering you hand sanitiser at the door. In the event that you have a fever, or find you are unable to attend due to sudden illness; a full refund will be available.
- Be respectful to our staff and volunteers. We understand that some of the restrictions in place can be frustrating and confusing, but all policies have been put in place to ensure the safety, comfort and well-being of our community. Any disrespect, violence or rudeness towards the Brisbane Arts Theatre personnel will not be tolerated.
